–My late friend Dan Howell gave me the opportunity to write this one after he saw an advance screening of the movie “Twins.” I was working long hours on my second PolyGram album at the time, with just one day off each week, and I told Dan I was too swamped to do it. Then he told me the film was a promising comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as unlikely twin brothers separated at birth! Furthermore, he said that he’d arranged for me to work with a lyricist named Liz Vidal, who had been to the screening of the film. So on my day off Liz and wrote the whole song, and the next day we talked my producer into letting us demo it immediately. A few days later the Spinners recorded it, and the movie became an international hit!
