I wrote this one in the early 90's with Stan Lynch, longtime drummer for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers (and later producer of hits for Don Henley).
We wrote the song in the morning and demoed it in the afternoon—no time to overthink it! It was later a single by Australian pop star John Farnham, and Franham later recorded a live duet with Olivia Newton-John. Where you're hearing here is a true blast from my rock 'n' roll past life!
